Mauro Martinuzzi was born in Maniago (PN) Italy, on July 14th 1986.
In 2005, after he gained high school diploma at Don Bosco boarding scientific school, he moved to Milan where he attended the European Institute of Design.
In 2007 he became designer assistant of Emmanuel Babled continuing his studies. Owing to this role, he improved his design, presentation and development skills, paying peculiar attention to the origin of the product itself and its impact on the local working sector. Thanks to Babled studio, he had the opportunity to collaborate with many companies and design galleries; among them Venini, Vistosi, De Vecchi, I+I, Kundalini, TorArt, Metea, Gedy, ecc…, Nilufar, The apartment, Kessler, ecc.. .
He also attended many seminars and displays about the Murano glassblowing design.
In 2008 he graduated at the faculty of Industrial Design.
His work show a strong personality and focus on many different situations involved and materials tested: first of all Murano glass, ceramic, plastic (rot moulding and injection), plexiglas, marble, fabric, metals.
In his background there can be found plans of industrial design, focused on production technologies and marketing, and more art-orientated limited edition projects, strongly linked to the territorial origin ( to be considered masterpieces of craftsmanship) based on strong visual conception and defined by a unique style.
In 2010, after 5 years in one of the worldwide capital of design, he moved to Amsterdam (NL), strong of the relation with Emmanuel Babled.
In the Nederlands he continues his collaboration with different designer like Satyendra Pakalè, Eibert Dresma, becoming a “strong” position inside Emmanuel Babled Studio, and getting inspired by the Dutch way of thinking design.
In 2012 open Mauro Martinuzzi Studio, beginning his own carrier as product designer with the brand mama, focus on product design.
Nowadays he is busy approaching new designs and research projects involving craft man skills.
